HAROLD L. SHARP
Harold L. Sharp, son of J. O. and Lottie M. Sharp, was born in Chariton, Iowa, Jan. 19, 1907, and died at the Miner's hospital in Albia, Iowa, on March 7, 1939, at the age of 32 years, 1 month and 16 days.
He spent his entire life in Lucas county and for the past seven years has worked at the carpentry trade. At the time of his death he was employed by the Conner and Smith Coal Company.
During his life long residence here he had won a large circle of friends by his pleasing manners and many fine characteristics and all, with the relatives, will mourn his passing.
Surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John O. Sharp, and two brothers, George and John Sharp, all of this vicinity, also three nieces and six nephews and other relatives. One sister, Mrs. Jessie Gunther and one brother, Charles Sharp, preceded him in death.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Donald McKay, of the Christian church, were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Downs funeral home, and burial was in the Salem cemetery.
