William Shrines Lombard, 88, of 1104 Republican, died Saturday night in a Topeka hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey Funeral Home in Lawrence with burial in Fowler Cemetery, north of McLouth.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine (Carrie) Lombard, of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Sophia Laster, McLouth; Mrs. Suzie Smith, Keokuk, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Ewing, Corona, Calif., Mrs. Bertha Beguelin, Lawrence, Mrs. Martha Groves, Pico, Calif, and Mrs. Irene Moorman, Panama City, Fla.; three sons, Tom Lombard, McAllen, Texas; Oscar B. Lombard, Selah, Wash.; and Floyd P. Lombard, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright, Arnolds Park, Iowa; a brother, Roy Lombard, of Iowa; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
