Dies in Home
At Sulphur Monday
N. V. Brubaker, 87, passed away at his home in Sulphur at 7:45 p.m. July 24. He fell and broke his hip May 27 and had been confined to his bed since that time.
Services were held at the Baptist church at Davis at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Jim House was assisted in conducting the service by Rev. T. J. Jared and Rev. Geo. L. Hart.
Burial was in Green Hill cemetery, with Dunn Funeral Home, Sulphur, in charge.
Pall bearers were C. C. Clinton, M. R. Dalley, Matt Russell, W. L. Scruggs, C. N. Dickson and P. T. Francis.
Mr. Brubaker was born in Salem, Ill., Sept 26, 1862. He came to Murray county in 1910, and settled at Price's Falls where he lived many years, later living in Davis, Claremore, Ponca City and Sulphur. He had been a member of the Baptist church since 1895.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Stella Brubaker of the home; a son, Bruce Brubaker, Davis, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Hollister, Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Rogers passed away in 1945.
Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Brubaker of Seminole, Okla.; Mrs. Ida Brubaker, Pawnee, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Brubaker, Blackburn, Okla.; Mrs. Pearl Hollister, Houston, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Davis, Crosbyton, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Roberts, Big Canyon, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Roberts, Rudean, Donald and Dale, Lawton, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Samples, Dougherty, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Billy Rogers, Oklahoma City.
