Catherine was born to Jacob Wesley DITZENBERGER and Mary Elizabeth MOORE (links below) after they had left Ohio to settle in Boone Co., Indiana. She was the seventh of fourteen children, ten of whom lived to maturity. She grew up in Eagle, Boone Co., and it was in Boone where she married Deitrich Glander (link below), 24 Sep 1868. The couple resided in the same county, at least, until 1880, when the census records them in Marion, Boone Co.
Both the couple's children were born there in Boone,IN, Henry in 1869 and Ada M in 1875. By 1900, Deitrich and Catherine had moved to Eaton, Preble Co., OH, where they resided until, at least, 1910. After Deitrich's death, Catherine lived with her son, Henry (unmarried), and then in Dayton, OH with her daughter, Ada, who had married Charles Otto HIPPLE. The photograph of her to the right was probably taken sometime between 1920 and 1927, possibly in Lebanon, Boone, IN at one of the Ditzenberger reunions.
When Catherine died in 1930, she was survived by, at least, one grandson, Nevin Hipple, born in 1910 and by nieces and nephews almost too numerous to count.
