Mr. William J. Anderson, Sr.—A native of Wilcox County, AL and a resident of Mobile, born December 26, 1923, departed this life on April 26, 1999. He was a member of Metropolitan AME Church and a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service after 45 years of service. Leaving to cherish his memory, three sons, Mr. William J. (Mirtha) Anderson, Jr. of Mitchellville, MD, Mr. George Edwin Anderson and Mr. Jeffery Waring Anderson of Mobile, AL; two grandchildren, Bridget Agnes Anderson and William J. Anderson, III of Mitchellville, MD; one great aunt, Mother Ora McCreary Finklea of Beatrice, AL; cousins, Mrs. Dorothy Ammons of Stone Mountain, GA, Mr. K.M. (Sherlean) Bumpers of Prichard, AL, Orin W. Wright and Mrs. Geraldine Slaytor Towns of Daphne, AL; God children, Julie Stallworth of Stone Mountain, GA, Nicole White of Mobile, AL; many other relatives and friends will be remembered, a devoted friend, Ms. Ada H. Ingram. Visitation and funeral services will be Sunday, May 2, 1999 at the Metropolitan AME Church with visitation beginning at 5:PM and funeral services at 7:30PM with the Rev. Samson T. Spencer officiating. Interments will follow on Monday, April 3, 1999 at 11AM in the Lawn Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements by JOHNSON-ALLEN MORTUARY, 600 Chestnut St. Mobile, AL.
