Dr. Paul Courtright-Whyte, age 90, died on Sunday, November 7, 2004 after a short stay at the Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service was held November 12, 2004 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. His wife, Betty, died a few weeks prior to that.

Dr.Paul Courtright-Whyte was very active with the Wisconsin NFA and the T/L Fund. Dr. Whyte, a retired optometrist, devoted many years promoting the value of natural and organic food and many interrelated health practices. He authored "A 21st Century Philosophical Handbook for Living" and various WNFA publications. Dr. Whyte helped organize the Trautmann-Lee Natural Foods Fund in 1963, of which he was the first executive director and held that position until 1999. Dr. Whyte served as president of Wisconsin NFA from 1988 to 1997.

Our sympathy to Dr. Paul C. Whyte's children and grandchildren. A son, Daniel P. Whyte of Madison, Alabama, died unexpectedly on November 6, 2004 while visiting his ailing father. Dr. Paul Courtwright-Whyte is highly regarded by Wisconsin NFA members and friends, and is remembered as bringing much enthusiasm and vitality to the organization.
