Lisa G. Link, 46, died on Saturday September 12, 2009, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va., after a long, courageous and ever-optimistic battle with cancer. Her friends and family were gathered by her bedside as she passed.
Lisa graduated from Bethel High School in 1981. She was employed for many years at the Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown. At the time of her death, she worked for SSAI at NASA. Lisa's enjoyment of life included boating, golf and the great trips she and Jane embarked on to New York, Bermuda, Santa Fe, and the yearly trips to Ponte Vedra and the Outer Banks.
She is survived by her father, Thomas N. Link; her mother, Florence Link; her brothers, Paul C., and Rodger T. Link and their wives, Barbara and Temple; her sister, Kimberly A. Link; three nieces, Amanda, Jennifer, and Stephanie; and one nephew, Matthew. Lisa is also survived by Jane Twomey and their dogs, Maddi and Kali. We will all miss her deeply.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Peninsula Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Peninsula Memorial Park.
