She was born in Georgia and moved to North Carolina in the early 1920's when boll weevil's destroyed the cotton crops. They had no choice but to move. She and my Grandfather moved with all the children. Her parents, came also. I know there were more Irvin's and Doster's that came with them. At some point in time some of my family decided to change the spelling of their name to Ervin. Don't know the reason/
