MRS. SCHOONMAKER DIES AT 78 IN HER CANAJOHARIE HOME
CANAJOHARIE, July 9. — Mrs. Ophelia Alice Schoonmaker, 78, wife of Egbert Schoonmaker, died Friday afternoon at her home on Wheelock street after an illness of six months. She was born in Canajoharie, daughter of Charles and Nancy Van Etta King, and had lived here all her life. Mrs. Schoonmaker was a member of the Methodist Church, the Philathea class and the Women's Foreign Missionary Society.

Survivors, beside her husband, are two nieces, Mrs. Graham Cairns, of this village. Mrs. Henry Lalone of St. Johnsville; a nephew, Charles Schoonmaker of Nelliston; three great nieces, Mrs. Walter Timmerman of Watertown, Mrs. Morris Lamphere of the Town of Palatine, Mrs. Emery Weaver of St. Johnsville, and a great nephew, Donald Lalone of St. Johnsville.

Funeral services will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 2;30. Rev. Samuel Spear of Grafton, former pastor of the Methodist Church here, Rev. Harvey Connor, present pastor, and Rev. Herman Vesper, pastor of St John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Canajoharle Falls cemetery.
