Leah Harrett Jenkins 83, Indianapolis, passed away January 18, 2003. She was co- owner of Jenkins Guns Inc for 17 years., retiring in 1976, attended Arsenal Tech High School and a 50 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star Chapter 299,Auxiliary Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and life member of The Amateur Trap Shooters Association Leah was a 3 time Indiana State Womens Handicap champion and she won the Womens Golden West Grand American in Reno Nevada.
Calling will be January 20, from 4 until 8 p.m. Services January 21 at 10 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapter. Survivors: Husband Howard Russell Jenkins whom she married on June 21, 1939, and 2 sons, Steven R. and Bradley A. Jenkins, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
