Wesley Durant, one of the oldest settlers in this city, passed to the other side Wednesday. He was 50 years old and was born in what is now the city of Durant, being the son of Dixon Durant for whom the city is named.
He was never married but made his home with his three nieces, the Misses Gladys, Glenn and Buel Durant. In addition to the three nieces with whom he made his home he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. C.L.Rutherford of Wapanuka and Mrs. Melvina of this city.
Mr. Durant had lived an honorable life and was held in the highest respect by those whom he came in contact
