Born in Zeeland, he was a lifelong resident of the area and a former member of the Zeeland Fire Department. He also had been employed as a millwright for several years. He was a member of Second Reformed Church.
Surviving are a son, Clayton of Zeeland; two daughters, Mrs. William (Ruth) Baron of Zeeland and Mrs. Roger (Lois) Vander Meulen of Spring Lake; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Jeannette Wiggers of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Second Reformed Church with the Rev. John F. Nordstrom officiating. Burial will be in Zeeland cemetery.
Relatives and friends may meet the family at the Mulder Funeral Home in Holland tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.
