Albert Otto Zietlow of San Bernardino, a native of Fontanelle, Iowa, had lived in San Bernardino for 54 years, died Thursday of heart failure at St. Bernardine Medical Center at the age of 82. He worked as an aircraft specialist with Norton Air Force Base for 33 years and worked on the SR-71 Spy Plane project. he was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks San Bernardino Lodge 836, Edgehill Club, Primetime Choraliers and the Luthern Church of Our Savior. He was survived by his wife, Zora, two sons, Herman of Highland and Timothy of Grants Pass, Oregon, his daughter, Pamela West of Mission Viejo, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Luther Church of Our Savior with private interment. Bobbitt Memorial Chapel is handling the arrangement. The family suggests donations to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior.
