MRS. HETTIE L. WARE
Mrs. Hettie Lyons Ware, 59-year-old native and lifelong resident of the Mount Pleasant community in Jackson County, died Sunday at the Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula after an illness of several days.
Mrs. Ware, born Nov. 19, 1903, at Mount Pleasant, was the widow of Roland H. Ware.
She is survived by one son, Robert Johnson Ware, and three grandchildren, Susie Ware, Hettie Ware and Ann Ware, all of Mount Pleasant.
The body was moved from Dees Funeral Home at Wiggins to the family residence Sunday at 5 p.m. and will be taken at 2 p.m. today to the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church.
The Rev. J.D. Ramey, former pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Benford Smith, pastor, and the Rev. Dale Lyons, pastor of the Rosedale Methodist Church. Musical selections will be by M.L. Davis, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Pete Avara.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Girby, W.E. Scott, W.P. Roberts, F.G. Ware, Robert Lyons and Lamar Scarbrough. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ware was a member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church and the Vancleave, Order of the Eastern Star, No. 300. She was active in various community clubs and activities.
