Mrs. Beatrice Duke Daves, 73, of Greenwood, died of a heart attack Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Greenwood Health & Rehab.
Mrs. Daves was born in Jasper, Ala., but had resided in Caroll County most of her life. She was the widow of the late William C. Daves and was a member of the West President Church of Christ in Greenwood. Mrs. Daves was a homemaker and the retired owner and operator of B&J Clothing in Greenwood. She had been a resident of Greenwood Health & Rehab for the past four months.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Williams & Lord Chapel with Alex Bayes officiating. Burial
was in Valley Hill Methodist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mrs. Daves is survived by two sons, William E. Daves Sr. of Greenwood, John Anthony Daves of Coila; two sisters, Ms. Bertha Howton of Sylvania, Ga., Ms. Gertrude Bramlett of Greenwood; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Daves, Harold Floyd, Jimmy Bennett, Everett Jackson, Guy Trotter Jr., Hans Campbell, and George
Tierce.
Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
