Funeral services for Mr. William C. Daves, age 71, resident of Greenwood, were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 1994 at Williams and Lord Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Valley Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
A native of Carroll County, Mr. Daves was a retired painter and a longtime Greenwood resident. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the West President Church of Christ in Greenwood.
He died of heart failure Friday, April 22, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Daves of Greenwood; two sons, William E. Daves, Jr. of Greenwood and John Anthony Daves of Coila; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Skelton, Mrs. Virginia Trotter and Mrs. Theresa Blake, all of Greenwood; his brother, Mallie E. Daves of Winona; and four grandchildren.
Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
