Mary was staying with her son Jim and his wife when she died. Mary's death is registered in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico death records. As Lafferty, Mary H. 72 Roswell, New Mexico Housekeeper, died of Acute Indigestion, Nov 16, 1917. According to her grandson Marley Lafferty.
A granddaughter of hers Alice Mae Lafferty writes:
that Mary H. Lippsie was English, 1/4 scotch, 1/8 Irish, 1/8 French. That Mary's father was 1/4 french.
She was my grandmother but died a long time before I was born so I only know the stories my dad told about her. She was a Methodist and since her husband was a Reverend of the S E Methodist Church she was active in Church work.
