BELLEVUE, Wash. — July 13, 2004. Funeral services for Kathryn Phillips Gibson will be held at Fort Myre Chapel in Arlington, Va., on Aug. 13, 2004, with internment at Arlington National Cemetery next to her beloved husband of 52 years, Lt. Col. James Edwin Gibson.The Rev. George Harpold of Frostburg, Md. will conduct the service.
Born in Eckhart, Md., Kathryn was the youngest of 11 children. She raised her family in Arlington, and was a long time member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, GG Mitchell of Sammamish; three sons, Jay of Fairfax Station, Va., Bill of North Potomac, Md., and Gary of Leesburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her older brother, William Phillips of Eckhart, Md.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, at 1-888-633-3937.
