Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Superior Methodist Church for James J. Bailey, 85, Superior, who died Friday in a Superior hospital. Burial will be in Superior Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 26, 1888, in Kansas. He moved to Mineral county in 1936 and in 1937 built and operated Hole in the Wall Lodge on Fish Creek with his son, Thomas. He sold Hole in the Wall in 1945 and in 1953 built Bailey's Lodge, also on Fish Creek. Survivors include his son; a brother, Joseph Bailey, Cannon City, Colorado.; a sister, Myrtle Scott, Watonga, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
