Freddie Whatley, 85, a homemaker, died Monday, November 24, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll. Rev. Ken Boyette will officiate with Rev. David Bartlett assisting.

A lifelong resident of Sidon, she had been a resident of Golden Age for 18 months. She was a professional mom and grandmother. She was a member of Sidon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gibb Harrell and Plaze Whatley; two sons, Robert Harrell and Billy Mack Harrell.

Survivors include: daughters, Judy Harmon of Teoc, Helen Stephenson of Coila, Linda Smith of Ridgeland, O'bera Ann Scott of Lynchburg, Va.; son, Jimmy Harrell; brothers, Fred Connor and Milton Connor, both of Sidon; sister, Mary McCrary of Grenada; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
