Services for Claude Gill Conner, Sr., 44, who died March 24, 1988, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a brief illness, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the North Greenwood Baptist Church.
The Rev. Bert Breeland will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Dennis McKay and the Rev. Hugh Smith.
Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mr. Conner was a native of Leflore County. He was the parts manager and a salesman for Delta Parts Corp. in Itta Bena for the past 16 years. He was a member and deacon of North Greenwood Baptist Church. He was also a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Moore Conner; one son, Claude Gill Conner, Jr., and one daughter, Kathryn Amanda Conner, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Mrs. P. L. McKay and Mrs. Freddie Whatley, both of Sidon; three brothers, Milton Conner of Columbus, Ga., Paul Conner and Fred Conner, both of Sidon.
Pallbearers will be Charles Burton, Clyde Watkins, Jimmy Webb, Knox James, Mryl McCormick, Thomas Garrett, Fred Burke, J.D. Braswl, Gary McDonald, Allen Ellis, Bill Carroll and Steve Daves.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Hatzfeld, Dr. Eugene F. Webb, the deacons of the North Greenwood Baptist Church and the faculty of Pillow Academy.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the North Greenwood Baptist Church or Pillow Academy.
Visitation will be held from 6-9p.m. tonight at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home.
