Clarence C. Hunter, Sr., of Pinopolis, husband of Della Ann Metts Hunter, died September 7, 2009 in Charleston.

Mr. Hunter was born June 19, 1928, at Louisville, KY, a son of Lawrence L. Hunter and Lillian Cross Hunter.

He attended Cross High School and was retired from Cockcroft Electric.

Mr. Hunter was a member of IBEW 776 and was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Brenda H. Frank and husband, Glenn, of Moncks Corner; Mary Ann Clarke and husband, James, of Pineville; two sons, Johnny Hunter and wife, Brenda, of Pinopolis; Clarence Cecil Hunter, Jr. of Pinopolis; four grandchildren, Tina Clarke; Jimmy Clarke; Leslie C. Cross; Jessica Hunter; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Hunter, Jr.

Interment was in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
