Bill B. Butler 1934 - 2008
Bill B. Butler, 74, a resident of Cottonwood, died Oct. 4, 2008. He was the son of Buster Odell and Edith Marie (Brown) Butler; born April 11, 1934, in Tuttle, Okla. Bill moved to Arizona around the age of 3. He grew up in Globe, where he attended school.
Professionally, Bill worked at the Yucca Power Plant in Yuma, with the Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company in Miami, and upon relocating to the Verde Valley he worked for the Verde Valley Train. Bill also worked as a volunteer for the Habitat for Humanity, as well as, volunteered six years to Meals on Wheels.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Bea Butler of Cottonwood; two sons, Robert B. (Rachel) Butler of Mesa, and Gary W. (Susan) Butler of Flagstaff; his brother, Ted G. (Vondell) Butler of Gold Canyon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church today, Oct. 8, 11 a.m., with interment to follow at All Souls Cemetery.
