In "New Netherlands" (now New York) by 1660 was "Waarenaer Hoorenbeeck", as proven by a court document. Other official documents give different spellings. Some descendants "Hornbeck" relocated to Virginia, and on to the west coast. Some of these used the "Hornback" spelling.
