Services for Clarence Thomas Wiley, Sr. will be conducted at 11 am Thursday from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 pm today until 9 pm.
Mr. Wiley, age 90, died of cardiopulmonary arrest Tuesday, December 14, 1993 in Clay County Medical Center.
A native of Vinton Community in Clay County, he was a farmer and worked 27 and three-fourths years for four District 1 supervisors. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Stafford Wiley of West Point; two daughters, Elaine Fields of Columbus and Nancy Densmore of West Point; two sons, Clarence T Wiley, Jr. and William "Billy" E Wiley, both of West Point; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Bertha W Pinkerton and Lottie W Horner, both of West Point.
Pallbearers are Dud Hughes, Roy Moon, Ed "Buddy" Sanders, Buddy Tumlinson, Jay Pinkerton, and William Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers are Gene Westbrook, Herman Shirley, Raymond Ellis, J F Ellis, John Ralph Hazelwood, Homer Tumlinson , A J Jackson, W H "Skeet" Kendricks, Jesse "Punch" Blankenship, and Homer Rhea.
Rev. Gary Jackson will officiate, assisted by Rev. Kevin Cuevas.
