Jonathan Wright (1746-1836) was ensign, 1776, in the 2nd battalion, Wadsworth's brigade, Colonel Gays' regiment; also, 1778, in Captain Gillett's company. He was born and died in Litchfield.

his first (of 3) wife was Leah Bissell (born 16 Nov 1746, died 11 June 1782). They married 6 Apr 1767 in Litchfield and had 9 children: Jonathan, Honor, James, Huldah, Sally and Sina (twins), John, Sina, and Polly.
His second wife was Tryphena (Tracy) Cone (12 Apr 1748-26 Nov 1786). They married 27 June 1784 and had 2 children: Susannah S. and Tryphena Tracy Wright.
His third wife was Thankful (Landon) Gibbs (30 Aug 1756-25 Feb 1831). They married 15 May 1788 and had 4 children: Samuel, Charles, Mary Ann and Alice.
