Members of the family and friends in this city of Charles Wilseck, chief fire and sanitary inspector of the Union Pacific Railroad company's lines, were greatly shocked at an early hour last evening by the announcement of his death, which occurred at Denver late yesterday afternoon.
Charles Wilseck, with his wife, resided at 2013 Pebrican street. He left Cheyenne for Denver only some twenty-four hours before the news of his death was announced. The message gave no details. It having come from the Union Pacific offices.
Mrs. Wilseck was to have left Cheyenne this morning for Omaha, where she was to have joined her husband, who intended leaving Denver last evening for the Nebraska metropolis.
Deceased was 65 years of age and a native of Berlin, Germany. He has resided in Cheyenne since the year 1881 and has been prominent in Odd Fellows circles and a devout member of the First Presbyterian church of this city.
He is survived by the widow, two daughters, Mrs. J. E. (Edna) Jamison of Cheyenne and Mrs. J. H. (Daisy Elizabeth) Skidmore of Omaha, and a son, W. J. Wilseck of Cheyenne, who leaves for Denver this morning to take charge of and bring the remains back to this city. Funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.
