"Former Beloit man dies in truck accident"

Donald Lewis Elliott, 29, of Security, Colo., died Thursday in Steamboat Springs, Colo., as the result of a truck accident.

A Security resident for the past nine months, Elliott formerly resided at 1122 Eaton Ave. He was born Nov. 8, 1945, in Beloit, the son of Ray and Opal Weaver Elliott. He was married to Marilyn Turner Aug. 31, 1968, in Beloit.

Elliott was employed as a trucker with the Potter Gas and Heating Co. of Colorado Springs. He formerly operated the State and Bell Skelly service station in Rockford.

He was a five-year Army veteran and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lori and Stacy, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Elliott of Brodhead; five sisters, Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Schwartzlow, Mrs. Lowell (Joyce) Arnsmeier, Mrs. James (Wanda) Church, Mrs. Thomas (Debra) Beckman and Barbara Elliott, all of Brodhead; three brothers, Charles of Colorado Springs, Tilton of Rockford and Clayton of Brodhead; a grandfather, Lewis Elliott of Ozark, Mo.

A son Gregory, died in 1971.

Arrangements are pending at the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel.
