Tilton (Tilt) E. Elliott, 75, of Rockton, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born March 31, 1948 son of Ray and Opal (Weaver) Elliott. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1967. Tilt retired from Ingersoll Milling after many years.

His survivors include his daughter, Lynette (Elliott) Haas and her spouse Steven; brother, Charles R. Elliott (Vicki); sisters, Evelyn Schwartzlow (Dick), Joyce Arnsmeier, Deborah Anderson (Dave), and Barb McCarty; grandkids, Jalen and Tayler, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Opal; brothers, Donald and Clayton, and sister, Wanda Church.

Tilt raced at Rockford Speedway for many years, enjoyed Nascar racing, spending time with his family, and was a loyal Chicago Bears fan.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 3:00 PM in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel - 11342 Main St., Roscoe, IL. with a memorial visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Food will be served from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roscoe VFW, 11385 2nd St., Roscoe, IL 61073.
