Linda Merle Goff Foster Webb 65 of the Cumbest Bluff Community, passed away Thursday, December11,2008 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Linda was born on November 15,1943 in George County, MS. to Coody and Maxine Goff. They came to Moss Point in 1944. Linda graduated from Moss Point High School in 1961. She worked many years a secretary to Gordon Gibson at C&G Auto Parts store in Moss Point and most recently at Econo Tax in Pascagoula. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children Bobby G. Foster; her infant son Anthony Gil Foster; her father Rev. Coody Goff; a son- in- law Joe Steven Rankin; and special aunt Toddie Olsen. She is survived by her husband Jones Sonny" Webb, two daughters, Penny Rankin and Nicole (Danny) Scott; and a son Bobby (Nicki) Foster; seven grandchildren, Jessica Scott and Gabe Canitz, Taylor Scott, D.J. Scott, Lauren Foster, Peyton Foster, Amy Hataway, and RoxAnn Rankin; two great grandchildren Mackenzie Canitz, and Steven Krebs, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Friday December 12, 2008 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. Funeral service will Saturday December 13, 2008 beginning at 11:00am with a one hour visitation prior to service. Rev. Steve Cirlot will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Lucedale, MS. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bates, Rhett Johnson, Chris Stewart, Tony Martinez, Rusty Stewart, Ricky Adams, Chuncks Dixon, and Frank Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be the "Over the Hill" Sunday School Class of Ridglea Heights Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Research or the American Cancer Society. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles. Isaiah 40:31.
