Audrey "Maxine" Goff


GOFF Audrey "Maxine" Goff, age 88 passed away at her home in Lucedale on July 27 ,2010. Audrey was born on April 21, 1922 to Lee and Myrtle (Bond) Adams in George County, MS. She married Coody Goff in 1941 and they moved to Jackson County where they resided in Moss Point. Many years later they moved to the Three Rivers Community. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Rev. Coody Goff, a daughter Linda Foster Webb, a sister, Clara " Toddie" (Nelson) Olsen, a grandson Anthony Gil Foster, a brother Richard H. Adams. A son-in-law Bobby G. Foster, and a grandson-in-law J." Steve" Rankin. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Jimmy) Bates of Lucedale, a son Richard (Juanese) Adams of Pascagoula, sisters , Mamie "Tee" Lassiter of Moss Point, and Myrtle Adams of Ellisville, six grandchildren, Rusty (Traci) Stewart, of Mobile, Bobby ( Nicki) Foster of Hurley, Chris (Kelly) Stewart of Cumbest Bluff Community, Penny Rankin of Three Rivers Community, Selina (Tony) Martinez of Semmes, AL. and Nicole (Danny) Scott of Three Rivers Community, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday July 29, 2010 from 6pm to 8pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. Funeral services will be Friday July 30, 2010 at 10 am with a one hour viewing prior to service time from Ridgelea Heights Baptist Church in Escatawpa with Rev. Steve Cirlot and Chuncks Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Church Cemetery in Lucedale. Pallbearers will be Rusty Stewart, Bobby Foster, Chris Stewart, Tony Martinez, Ricky Adams and Danny Scott. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Audrey's memory to St. Judes Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN., to the Gideons Bible Fund, or the American Cancer Society. Shirley and her family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Southern Care Hospice for the care and love shown to her Mother during her illness. A special thanks to nurses Audrey Smith, Beth Mizell, Erica Hill, Shellie Middleton and nurse techs Jessica Alexander and Donna, and chaplain, Bro. Les Pierce. Also, thanks to Gloria and Rhett Johnson for supporting me through Mothers illness.
