Soleminized in the presence of only the family and a few close friends, was the marriage of Miss Amie Vary and Mr. George Perry Atkinson, which occurred Thursday evening, January 10th, at 7:30 o'clock, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Vary, in College Park, Ga.
The home was attractively decorated throughout with rich green foilage and fragrant pink geraniums. In the living room an improvised alter was formed of palms and ferns, as a background for two tall pedestal vases, filled with pink rose buds and white narcissis.
There were no attendants, and the bride and groom entered together, Dr. L. E. Roberts performed the impressive ceremony.
The bride wore an exquisite model of dark blue satin black crepe, trimmed with sable fur, and a small gold lace hat veiling gold metal cloth. Her flowers was a georgeous corsage, bouquet of Ophelia roses, showered with valley lilies.
Mrs W. M. Vary, the brides mother, wore a becoming afternoon gown of black and beige crepe dechine, heavily beaded.
An informal reception followed the ceremony. Later in the evening Mr. Atkinson and his bride left for a wedding trip to Florida and later will be at home on Fourth Street, in Atlanta.
