Graveside services for Charles A.
Shaffer, 76, of Burnettsville, were
held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cedarville
Cemetery, Burnettsville, with the
Rev. Ray French officiating.
He died at 2:34 p.m. Friday, Sept.
3, 1982, in St. Elizabeth Hospital,
Lafayette.
Born Feb. 2, 1906, in Delphi, the
son of Arthur and Charlotte Riggle
Shaffer. He was married in June
1922, to Martha Siferd, who died
Sept. 28, 1978.
A retired carpenter who had spent
most o f his life in White County, he
was a member of the Hickory Grove
Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia
Wiles of Burnettsville; two grand
children and three great grandchildren.
Sullivan Funeral Home, Camden,
was in charge of arrangements.
