Mrs. McElhinney Funeral Friday

Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon (November 11, 1955) for Mrs. Mary Eliza McElhinney, 82, who died here Wednesday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gregory. The Reverend John O. Edgar will conduct the services in the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian church of which Mrs. McElhinney was a long-time member. Burial will be in the Sharon cemetery.

Mrs. McElhinney was the daughter of James and Martha Creelman Kennedy, and was born in Des Moines county on November 29, 1872.

On January 3, 1885, she was married to William Robert McElhinney, and lived on the family farm in Des Moines county.

Mrs. McElhinney is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Olive M. Baird, Wapello, and Mrs. Lillian Gregory, Morning Sun, and by three sons, Merritt J. McElhinney, Martin W. McElhinney, and W. Ernest McElhinney, all of Morning Sun. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Emma Caldwell, Washington, and Mrs. Ruby Baird, Morning Sun.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
