Alice King was the second born twin of Charles Edward and Elizabeth 'Betty' (McGuire) King on July 20, 1904 in Clarksville, Red River County, TX. Her twin sister was Evelyn (King) Hucks. Their younger brother was Louis Harvey King.
Alice married Richard Franklin Atchley in Ione, Oklahoma on September 30,1923. Alice and Richard lived in Wynnewood, OK. They had three children: Frances Louise, Homer Ray, and Frankie Lajuanna who died at 6 1/2 years old from scarlet fever.
Alice was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and homemaker. She and Richard loved helping raise their grandchildren, Harl, Elaine, Donnie and Richard Ray Jarvis. She enjoyed playing solitaire on her breaks. Alice was a member of the Wynnewood Church of Christ.
Richard passed away April 15, 1982 from cancer.
Alice developed Alzheimer's Disease in her later years. She lived with her daughter and son-in law, Louise and Floyd V. Mizell.
Alice passed away in a Pauls Valley nursing home, May 7. 1999.
Services were held at Wynnewood Church of Christ on May 10, 1999 at 2 P.M.
