FUNERAL NOTICES
DAY - Reuben Day, 61, of 1274 Yellowstone, passed away Wednesday afternoon in the St. Anthony Hospital following an illness.
He was born Sept. 23, 1908 at Preston, the son of Henry and Miralda Comish Day. For many years he farmed at Preston.
On May 5, 1947 he married Marie Bolingbroke at Reno, Nev. Eighteen years ago they came to Pocatello and Mr. Day was employed as a construction roller operator until his retirement two months ago.
He was an elder in the Pocatello LDS 27th Ward, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Dennis, in the V. A. Hospital at Long Beach, Cal., Glenn, Salt Lake City; 2 daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Gloria) Hansen and Gwenn Kinder, both of Salt Lake City; 1 brother, Myron Day; 3 sisters, Mrs. William (Pearl) Whitehead, Mrs. Cleve (Lena) Chattern, all of Preston; Mrs. Fred (Emma) Chytrus, Ontario, Oregon; and 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 noon in the Oneida Stakehouse at Preston with Bishop Ferris Hess of the Pocatello LDS 27th Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Manning Funeral Chapel, Saturday morning friends may call at the Oneida Stakehouse from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
