Mr. Bice, a native of the Wheeling Community, where he at one time was a farmer and merchant, had resided with his family for many years. During his residence in Winn Parish he served as a member of the police jury from Ward Five and held other places of importance in the civic and religious life of the parish. Last February 14, he and Mrs. Bice observed their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Bice is survived by his widow; three sons, Hershel, J. D., and Clarence, all of Ruston; four grandsons; one sister, Mrs. W. E. Little of Minden; and one brother, Jack Bice of Calvin.
