ROUSE
Lewis Jacob Rouse, son of Sarah Estella and Franklin Casper Rouse, was born in Lucas county, Iowa on July 9, 1903, and passed away December 24, 1965 at the age of 62 years, five months and 15 days at his home south of Lucas.
On February 4, 1934 he was united in marriage to Golda Pauline Mundell and to this union three children were born.
He is survived by his wife, Golda; three children: Bonnie Skinner of Chariton, Bob L. serving in the armed forces and stationed at Ft. Devens, Mass., Jerry D. also serving in the armed forces and stationed at Ft. Irwin, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Estella Rouse of near Lucas; two brothers: Harry of Des Moines and Frank who lives with his mother, two sisters, Mrs. Florence Clark of Chariton and Mrs. Idessie Clark of Knoxville; one granddaughter, Kathy and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father on June 29, 1951 and one brother, Stanley on October 15, 1918.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 28 at Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Jim Nelson officiating. Burial was held at the Goshen cemetery.
