Death of Thos. H. Davis
Thomas H. Davis, aged 57 years, died at 7 o'clock
yesterday morning, of abscess of the bowels, at his home
six miles north of Sedalia. The deceased had been a resident of Missouri forty five years. The remains will be taken to Cooper county, and the funeral take place from Tebo {sic for Nebo} church at 11 o'clock tomorrow forenoon.
Thomas H. Davis, his brother James W., and father George W. enlisted at Ozark, Missouri on Dec 14 1861,in Co. F, 4th Regiment of Infantry Volunteers, C.S.A. as privates. Thomas H. Davis was wounded and left at Springfield, Mo, Feb. 12, 1862, (no age given) James W. Davis, age 19, KIA saw almost three years of active duty, and father George W. KIA and is buried at Fairview Cemetery, Van Buren, Ark.
