Charles R. "Zeke" Annis, 74, of 20655 Alm Lane, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday in Bremen Community Hospital. Mr. Annis was the former owner/operator of Annis Brothers Hardware for 15 years. He was born Oct. 28, 1912, in Lakeville, and was a life-long area resident. On April 4, 1940, in Lakeville, he married Lucille Kline, who survives. Also surviving is a brother, Louis of Lakeville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Milford (Ind.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. He was a civilian technician for Douglas Aircraft in Europe during World War II and also served as an instructor to students from England. He was the former owner/operator of Northern Holiday Resort, Cohasset, Minn., for 20 years. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
