Michael Hannigan OBIT, Holt County Independent, June 31, 1927
Michael Hannigan died at the home of his neice, Mrs. M.J. Enright, on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. Mr. Hannigan was born in Ballenrab, Ireland, September 29, 1843. He landed in St. Louis in 1864 and came to Holt county from St. Louis in 1876 and took up a homestead two miles north and one mile west of O'Neill. He lived with his sister, Mrs. Mary Fallon of O'Neill, until three and 1/2 years ago, when he and Mrs. Fallon moved to the home of Mrs. Enright. He leaves besides his sister, Mrs. Fallon, another sister, Mrs. Anna Heenan of Omaha and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday morning from St. Patricks church and burial was made in Calvary cemetery. The pall bearers were Tom Enright, John C. Carney, C.M.Daly, A. Stanton, Frank Murray, John Murray
