Our much beloved father, grandfather, and brother, Franklin S. Stucki, age 88, passed away on August 30, 2009 after a brief and valiant battle with cancer. He resided at 593 South 580 West in Cedar City, Utah at the time of his death.


He was born in Santa Clara, Utah on September 30, 1920 to Herman and Anna (Nelson) Stucki.


He spent his youth in Delta, Utah and was a graduate of Delta High School. He was honored to have served his country for over four years during World War II. Frank graduated from BYU with both B.S. and M.S. degrees in economics. Frank worked as a claims examiner for over 27 years with the Utah Department of Employment Security.


In retirement he traveled the world, making friends and frequenting the back roads and byways of Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North Africa. He married Anna Beth Harris on April 1, 1945. They later divorced. Together they had three children. Frank was a member of the L.D.S. Church and was a great example of an honest, trustworthy and hardworking man. He was proud to be a member of The Disabled American Veteran's.


He is survived by his children, Susan and (Dr. John) Scott, Modesto, CA, Paul, Cedar City, UT, and Rita and (Kim) Stevenson, Farmington, UT. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, with two more shortly to be born. In addition, he is survived by his brothers Dr. John Stucki, Dr. Virgil Stucki and Dr. Grant Stucki. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dan and sister Glenna, grandson David and great-granddaughter Natalie.


Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City. A viewing will be held at the mortuary from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery.
