Timothy was an active member of the Church all his life. He was a wagon master for a pioneer company who crossed the plains.
He was a freighter by trade. He hauled rock for the Salt Lake Temple and for a time lived on bread and water while doing so. He also served as a minute man in the Utah Militia.
