Also private in Captain Greenleaf Pratt's Company, Lt Col C Howard's regiment Sept 21 to Oct 15, 1814, raised at Middleborough, service at Plymouth. A Silas is also listed in Captain L Hathaway's Company, Lt Col B Lincoln's regiment from June 20 to July 1, 1814, raised at Freetown, service at New Bedford, along with thirteen other Hathaways.
The above paragraph is obviously incorrect for this man, but instead of deleting it, I would prefer to find it's true owner, which is apparently Silas Hathaway, Jr., burial unknown, b. 5 Mar 1758 Freetown, Bristol, Massachusetts, USA d. 7 May 1822 Providence, Providence, Rhode Island, USA. He m. Sep 1780 Charlotte Read Freetown, Bristol, Massachusetts.
