Ruby Reed Shumate Anderson - age 55, of Summerdale, passed away at home on August 29, 2009. Ruby is preceded in death by one daughter, Shana Shumate. Survivors include her husband, Phil Anderson of Summerdale; daughter, Leah (Glen) Barefoot of Fairhope; son, Denny Shumate, Jr. of Fairhope; two brothers, Ted Reed of Summerdale and Scot (Beth) Reed of Summerdale; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was a member of the Greenwood Bible Deliverance Church in Summerdale. She graduated from Faulkner Community College. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Ruby Anderson will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 10:00 am from Greenwood Bible Deliverance Church in Summerdale with Rev. Fritz Harms and Rev. Marie Harms officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The visitation will be held Tuesday evening at the church from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
