MAUDIE FAYE BLAYLOCK


JUNCTION - Maudie Faye Blaylock was born June 9, 1911, to W.H. and Dane Cox in
Concho County. She went to be with the Lord on May 21, 1999.

Faye was married to Raymond Blaylock for 64 years. From this union, five
children were born. Faye helped Raymond work the ranches they lived on in
Concho County, moving to the Pfluger ranches in Kimble County in 1939. In 1957
Faye worked as a school cook and bus driver for the London School District.
Later, upon moving to Junction, she helped Raymond manage the Sun Valley Motel
and TexPac Freight Lines.

Faye is survived by her five children, Raymond Blaylock and wife, Jeri, of
Sanderson, Leta Andrews and husband, Albert, of Fort Stockton, Kay Beam and
husband, Buff, of Mountain Home, Patsy Sorrell and husband, Charles, of
Junction, and Nelda Carpenter, also of Junction; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-
grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Raymond and Faye opened their hearts to three very special children, Bill
Sweeten, Ruth Sweeten Gibbs and Elzy Beam.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; a brother,
Ray; and sisters, Willie and Maggie Lee; and by Bill Sweeten; and great-
grandchildren, Brian Carpenter and Amanda Evans.

Faye was a member of the College Street Church of Christ for 60 years, and the
funeral service will be held there at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 23, with Pastor Doug
Brown officiating. Burial will follow in London Cemetery. Arrangements are by
Graham Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be La Darrell Fillips, Radell Fillips, Ricky Wayne Carpenter,
Tye Carpenter, Jay Rotge, Ray Rogte, Tom Warden and Josh Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Elzy Beam, Tommy Burney, Earl Dean Williamson, Milton
Adams, grandsons Ricky Carpenter, Glenn Andrews, Barry Sorrell, Larry Sorrell,
Colby Blaylock, Brian Hearn, Jim Heimann, Edwin Evans, Charles Stahl, Kevin
Johnson and Albert Thorn, and granddaughters Lynne Heimann, Mollie Hearn,
Christine Ferguson, Pamela Evans, Janelle Stahl, Sharlotte Johnson, Sheri
Blaylock, Rachel Blaylock and Buffey Beam.
