Obituary:
J.F. Linebrink died Monday afternoon at his late residence at Evansport. He is one of the oldest settlers of Defiance county having resided here for the past sixty years. The deceased at the time of his death was aged seventy five years and four months. he is survived by four sons and one daughter. They are Mrs. John Peterson of Tiffin township, John Linebrink of Camden, Mich., Isaac Linebrink of Grand Park, Ill, and Charles and Jesse Linebrink of Chesterfield, Neb. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the St. Johns Methodist Church at Tiffin township.

J. Fredrick Linebrink was born December 5th, 1834 in Hannover, Germany. At the age of 4 years he came with his parents to America. They resided for a while in Sandusky, Ohio and at the age of 15 they moved to Defiance where he resided until his death. On December 18th, 1856 he was united in marriage to Mary Hughes and his union was blessed with 5 sons and 1 daughter. One son has preceded his father, being taken in his early manhood. Mr. Linebrink has been a sufferer for more than a year without murmuring, but looked forward to the crossing over to the other shore, and on Monday, April 4th 1910, he looked for the last time on the scenes of earth and went away. His age being 75 years, 3 months and 29 days. He leaves an aged companion, 1 daughter, 4 sons, 2 brothers, half sister and many friends to mourn their loss. – Defiance Daily Crescent, April 11th, 1910.
