Quinna May Wimberley was the youngest child of Zachariah W. Wimberley and his first wife Quinna Vaughn Wimberley. She came to Texas, about 1840, with most of her brothers and sisters after the death of their mother. In the 1850 Census, Quinna was living with two of her brothers in Burleson County, Texas. But eventually she settled near the Blanco-Llano county line near her sister Sarah Elizabeth Wimberley Harrington and her brothers Warren Wimberley and Pleasant Wimberley. She married James Washington Wilson on February 7, 1856, in neighboring Gillespie County.

In addition to those listed below, Quinna and her husband James Wilson had the following children:

1. Laura May Wilson Hardin, 1869-1954, married James Calloway Hardin, both buried Willow City Cemetery, Gillespie County, Texas

2. Ida Clementine Wilson, 1874-?

3. Alice Lanora Wilson, 1876-?
