Joseph W. Wilson, 83. died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Texas. Mr. Wilson had lived in Madera 49 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Bessie. Madera: one son, Leo, Merced; three daughters, Mrs, Gladys Haynes, Chowchilla; Mrs. Eva Rayborn and Mrs. Quinnie Gray, both Madera: 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Alice Harrell, Arizona and Mrs. Lillie Smith, Texas. Funeral services will bo hold Tuesday at II a.m. in the Jay Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
