NIBLEY, UTAH: Verl King Bindrup, 75, of Nibley passed away Sunday November 6, 2005 at the Logan Regional Hospital from a sudden heart attack. The oldest child of eight, he was born in Logan Utah on March 24, 1930 to Vera King and Nephi Vernon Bindrup.

Verl was raised in River Heights and graduated from South Cache High School in 1948. He attended Utah State University then served in the Western States L.D.S. mission. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955.

On November 30, 1955 Verl married Barbara Ferrin in the Logan L.D.S. temple. Together they had 6 children. They were later divorced.

On June 23, 1990 he married Louann R. Allen who passed away after a courageous battle with lymphoma.

On September 15, 1999 Verl married his sweetheart Betty Perkins. They shared a happy life together traveling to Mexico each winter. They recently returned from a Caribbean Cruise.

Verl is survived by his wife Betty, his six children Brad Bindrup of Logan, Tami Rawlins of Tremonton, Holly Buck of Logan, Kristy (Bill) Muir of S.L.C., Troy (Machelle) Bindrup of Mendon, Lisa (Steve) Baker of Mendon and 13 grandchildren.

Bettys Children Charlyn (Aaron) Bluemel of Lyman, WY, Vaughn Thompson of Ogden, Darrin (Patty) Thompson of Logan, Tiffany (Brett) Lund of Foster City, CA, Kevin Thompson of Logan and 15 grandchildren.

His 6 siblings Reed (Karen) Bindrup of River Heights, Darrel Bindrup of Roy, Cherrill Buchanan of Woods Cross, Bill (Orell) Bindrup of Layton, Ina (Melvin) Murray of Roy, Ken (Pam) Bindrup of Morgan, and Robert (Retta) of Boise.

Verl worked several years as a carpenter before getting a job at the U.S.U. Water Research Lab where he worked from 1965-1992.

Verl loved the outdoors, his favorite place to go was Grays River by Alpine, WY where he spent many trips with Betty fishing. He hunted as a boy with his father and enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandchildren. He belonged to the morning crew who met at McDonalds (rain or shine) to socialize.

He took pride in having a nice garden and sharing it with friends and neighbors. Verl was very kind and was the first one to lend a hand to others without being asked. He was a devoted Aggie Fan and season ticket holder for 25 years.

Verl leaves a legacy of hard work, thoughtfulness and a sense of humor. He loved his family and friends. We will love you always Dad and will never forget your twinkling smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepdaughter Kristina Marquez.

Funeral services will be held at the Nibley 4th ward, 360 W. 3200 S. Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Roland Parent conducting. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery with military honors. Condolences may be sent to the family at Allen Mortuaries.
